Marram Nganyin Program Coordinator

 

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: About the role Koorie Youth Council (KYC) partners with the Victorian Government’s Office for Youth in the Department of Families Fairness and Housing (DFFH) to support Aboriginal young people through the Aboriginal Youth Mentoring Program. The program provides local mentoring opportunities for Aboriginal young people to develop their skills and their connections to their culture and communities, enhancing their life skills and connecting them to education, training and employment.

The Marram Nganyin Program Coordinator provides leadership and direction to the Marram Nganyin Project Officer and high-level/strategic/ support to the Aboriginal community controlled organisations (ACCOs) that deliver the program (partner organisations). Please note, this is an Aboriginal and Torres Islander identified position. Only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply as this position is exempt under the special measures provision of S12(1) of the Equal Opportunity Act (VIC).

Regional Youth Engagement Officer (Barwon South-West)

 

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: The role will be responsible for providing efficient, and professional operational management to Aboriginal Youth Advisory Committee, and to provide opportunities for Aboriginal youth to participate in groups, the opportunity to be exposed to positive relationships and role models, a safe place to connect to family and community, the opportunity to develop and skill-up.

As you will be working with multiple stakeholders at various levels, from individuals to executives, you must have the energy, enthusiasm and to effectively engage with diverse groups, including both informally and professional settings with a focus of elevating the voices of Aboriginal young people in the Barwon South-West region. Please note, this is an Aboriginal and Torres Islander identified position. Only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply as this position is exempt under the special measures provision of S12(1) of the Equal Opportunity Act (VIC).
