Leyla Quartermaine, semi-finalist for the 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards and selected for the Culture is Life Fullaship program

Congratulations to proud Ballardong Noongar woman and our Marram Nganyin Aboriginal Youth Mentoring Program Coordinator, Leyla Quartermaine for being a semi-finalist for the 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards for Yarn Strong Sista Indigenous Achievement Award! AND for being selected for the Culture is Life Fullaship program!

Leyla has been working on the Marram Nganyin Aboriginal Youth Mentoring Program for 2 and a half years and prior to this was an Exec member for 3 years. As a young person with lived experience in out of home care and family violence, Leyla is passionate about creating change and supporting our young mob, shown through her ongoing dedication and her deadly work supporting Aboriginal organisations to deliver programs in their communities.

Leyla first joined our Exec when she was 18 years old! 7 years on we are so excited to see what you’ve achieved and where your journey will take you.
