I’m Daphne Arapakis. I was born and raised in Bulleke-bek (Brunswick) on Wurundjeri Country in Naarm (Melbourne). As a member of Naarm’s Greek diaspora, I am passionate about amplifying the voices of First Nations peoples and facilitating transcultural dialogues. I believe that this begins with elevating First Nations led initiatives, research and policy agendas; centring the power of community, Country and culture every step of the way. I’ve previously worked in the healthcare sector, volunteered at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, and recently completed a BA (First Class Hons.) at the University of Melbourne, where I explored the relational dynamics between First Nations and Greek peoples.
Introducing our new Policy & Research Officer, Daphne Arapakis!
